Strange things happened when a bitter Oakfern mother took pity. The rut left Andrione with a stillbirth, and as she traveled back through the tunnel with the tiny blue hind at her side, her heart swelled. Surely this oath-breaker fawn, who reminded her of the moonpool, whose life consisted of nothing yet but the calm stillness of water and the moon, could be as good as her own?
Her milk still ran. The herd would never miss her.
She spirited the fawn away before the raiding party could find her again. They hid in a cavern and emerged only when the sun rose.
Visita grew up in a bizarre half-state of love. She was not looked on as favorably by her mother as her real fawn might have been, but without her, Andrione's life was truly empty. So they kept away, playing family.
But eventually, Andrione began to feel homesick. She was quite the respected doe in her day, and missed her family, as well as the feeling of Gealach's love.
So she hatched a plan to regain her former glory in Visita's fifth year. Using Visita as a decoy, she would send her to the Silverthornes to steal one of their prize golden fawns. Visita loved her foster mother too much to let her go on hurting, so reluctantly, she agreed to help with the scheme.
They planned everything perfectly. They infiltrated under the cover of night, beneath Gealach's watchful eye. They nabbed one of the first golden fawns of the season. But all of their hard work disintegrated the second Visita saw the fear in her hostage's eyes, and immediately related. It only took an instant for the captor to once again become a victim- and another instant for Andrione to be swallowed in unconsciousness as Visita kicked her before snatching the fawn and running.
Fear gave her wings, and the two fawnlings ran a good part of the night until finding a safe place. She and the fawn hid for two days while Visita tried to figure out how to get to the Silverwood once more. Sunrise the third day, she and the fawn limped back to the Silverwood (after getting lost several times), where after a lot of surprise and hostility, along with an i.d. from her aging mother, Visita was reintroduced to her birth-herd.
It took a few moons to readjust, and a few years for the Silverthornes to begin trusting her, but her good breeding and gentleness convinced many, and for the first time in her young life, was welcomed.
Now, she is a member of high standing; a gentle-doe if you will. Being alone with Andrione most of her life has made Visita a little unused to the attention and respect she gets from her fellow herd-members, but she remains humble and quite enjoys feeling really loved and accepted. She is accompanied most of the time by her mother, Sagara, who is over joyed to have her first daughter home. The two of them spend much of their time helping mothers teach their foals manners, while Visita teaches the art of conversation and encourages the brilliant to use their minds, since often times it was her cleverness that saved her from making her tenuous bond with her Oakfern mother fatal. Her mind flourishes in Silverthorne- she talks for hours with her mother on stags, with the fire-keepers on philosophy and religion, with soldiers on the art of politics.
But not all is well with this miracle story. Visita is scared of having fawns, because the few stags that have tried to court her have been more interested on passing on their offspring, but not really raising or protecting them, or respecting her. She is afraid that the Oakferns are seeking revenge for her foster mother's betrayal of Gealach. Every spring, she gets jittery and little paranoid.
Visita hopes that one day she'll find a mate and finally work over her fear. As she has aged, she is starting to find a certain peace within herself that is helped a lot by her herd-mates, who involve her in day-to-day activites that ease her mind and strengthen her roots. She's a very well-rounded doe- she just hopes that the past won't come back to bite her.
UPDATE:
Now that she has had her first foal, a strong, healthy son by Fae, Visita's paranoia has subsided as she falls within the familiar pattern of life and parenting. Although more at ease and wiser for her newest endeavor, another problem has cropped up as she grapples with slight postpartum moodiness. She has also taken on a challenge to rival even that of motherhood- learning her fire magic. Far behind in her training and still scared of fire, it will be a quite the task to get her to her level.
For now, she plays with her son and has small magic lessons with her mother, Sagara, who has come to stay for awhile and bond with with Durion.
Big change is coming for her, and she can only speculate as to her future.

are you her currant owner? i would like to update Feanar's ref and would like to know if She will be coming back to him at all? it seems all his does are leaving him including Miir. so he may be all alone for a while.
